John has served a total is 12 and a half years, 1989 to 97 in the air force and he joined the national guard in 2003 and sent to Iraq in 2005 letter was sent by his wife Amanda
It all started on October 11,2006 when my husband John Marshall was hit by an R.P.G rocket Iraq the rocket went thru the vehicle he was driving. The rpg rocket went thru my husbands calf muscle on one leg and made a hole the size of a soft ball in the other. This was the most serious as he has been hit 8 other times by IED’s
he now suffers from traumatic brain injury and sever PTSD. we make at least 4 to 5 trips a month the Va clinic for treatment for his injuries then he has to go at least twice a month for appts at the Va hospital. we really need a van to get to the appts . He has now retired and we live on the retirement income but there is not much left after paying bills to purchase a vehicle. We have a foster child and 2 other children
