December 13th We gave away a vehicle early at the Thunderbird Bowl in Wichita to Matt, His story is below: Matt was deployed to Iraq and upon returning home had nothing to come back to. We gave him an old used car to get by for awhile until it finally gave out. He is having to take jobs that are close enough to our home to walk, or get rides from whoever can help at the time. Therefore, he is not able to get a job suitable to get on his feet and move on with his life. As a returning vet, he is very proud and would never ask anyone for help. We do as much as we can to help, but we can't afford to get him a car. He is not picky and would accept anything that would get him to a better job. We would appreciate your consideration. My wife has spinal deganration, copd and we have a 10 year old and my ssdi is only 1174.00 a month. We lost our van do to an accident last winter and it very hard to find ways to appointments and if we don't make my sons appointments the state of kansas will take him away from us stated that due our health and situation. This greatly improve our live just by making the appt. and getting to the store. we currently don't own a car and we have no friends or family to help
