Listen to Slacker monday morning to hear about a local Vet that needs some help. Jovan and his family need a hand up and a car. We will supply the vehicle but let us know if you can help in some way.Jovan was in Iraq from 2004-2005 in the Army. When he returned home, He had a stroke which left him partially paralyzed in his left side. He is married and has 3 children living with him. He hasn't been able to get his stroke service-connected, so only get money from social security. The last week of June his aunt rented a car so they could bring his kids up from Lousiana and back to KC. When they returned they found that the family car had been stolen.They have just lost their home a few days ago and are staying in a local shelter until they can find another place to live but it is difficult without a car.  He is in desperate need of help, so that they can get to him to VA appointments, take care of the kids, his wife can get to a job etc. . He is afraid the family will split up if he cant find some help. ( Submitted by VA Caseworker)
