Jan and Phil tell them the good news
I am submitting this application on behalf of my daughter Darci. She is a full time student at WSU in the Master's of Social Work program. She is married with four children ages 8, 7, 4 & 3 and currently doing her internship at Cowley County Mental Health. It is unpaid so her husband is the only one working full-time. Darci also works part-time with Cowley County Safe Homes, she is unable to work full-time due to her school requirements and needing time for her family. She answers the phone overnight for Safe Homes and is only guaranteed one night a week. She is in the process of developing a therapeutic group for battered women which will be done on a volunteer basis. Her dream is to work with battered women and eventually do free counseling with them.
Her husband Raymond is working 40 hours a week and works overtime as he can. . I provide their daycare for the children and when their vehicles go out I have to either let them borrow my car or I have to drive them to where they need to go.
Having a dependable vehicle would mean that I no longer have to worry about my grandchildren being stranded in the cold or worry that I will be without a vehicle so they can get where they need to go. If I don't have a vehicle then I can not take my grandson to his pre-school so he has to miss class. I know that both my daughter and my son-in-law would be extremely grateful to receive the help of a reliable vehicle.
