Council Bluffs, IA.: My Aunt Tammi has been a dedicated single mother of a 13 year old boy who has Down's Syndrome since he was born.Tammi was recently diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and it is a struggle now more than ever for her to perform the daily tasks to make sure her son is taken care of, especailly without transportation. In the warmer weather she and her son usually use public transportation to make it to all the doctor appointments and school herself and her son are required to attend, but since she was diagnosed with this disease she has to make it to twice as many appointments than before. With the winter season coming up, the cold weather has been effecting her condition severly. If they were granted a car for christmas it would not only change thier life in many different ways, for the better of course, but they would be very greatful.
