Local Fire Fighter Receives Van

On Dec 6th the Car Santa teamed up with Tony from United Access helped a local firefighter. See the story below:

Brian and Lori never dreamed when she was pregnant with twins that they would be born at 25 weeks and weigh only 1 ½ pounds. Now 6 years old the twins have multiple medical problems and both are in wheel chairs. Since that day, the twins have had over 15 surgeries in their short life and have many more to come. The family bought a mini van when the twins were born to get them to doctors appts but since then have grown to large to fit into a mini van with wheel chairs. The only way they can get around as a family is by putting both kids in a seat and the fold-up wheel chairs in the back. This still leaving barley enough room for all of them to travel anywhere comfortably. One of the twins is skilled enough that she has an electric wheel chair which she maneuvers around the house like a pro. But unfortunately she has never been to the park, the doctors office, a mall, stores or any where that she can move around freely due to the limited space in the mini van and it not having a lift.

Brian is a fire fighter here in Kansas City and been with the Dept for 16 years. When his fellow fire fighters heard that two of his children were in wheel chairs and could not travel in the Mini Van the family owned they contacted Cars 4 Christmas.
