I inquired last year how to put a friends name on the list to receive a
car.
I was told I had to find an organization that was sponsoring such a
thing.
Therefore, let me tell you about my friend Valerie. She is a single
parent
with 5 kids. 1 kid has Attention Deficient Disorder, another has
Chrones
disease. Her child that has Chrones disease walks with a limp and has
limited use with both of her hands. She has to wear lifts in her shoes,
and
splints on her hands. I usually have to take time off from work to
take
her kids to their doctor appointments.
What is more unique is that I, myself have Cerebral Palsy. Because I
have a
job and am self sufficient, I have made a big impression on Valerie to
succeed as well. She has seen all the struggles I have been through in
life
and it has truly inspired her to succeed as well. She tells me all
the
time that I am an inspiration to her.
She works outside of the house, and is barely making ends meet. I know
that
if she had a car she would be able to take her children to doctor
appointments and go to the store, etc. She has to rely on me and
other
friends to take her places she needs to go.
It would mean a lot to me if you could give her a car for Christmas.
Her name is Valerie ########
Liberty, MO
Her 5 children would have gone without receiving any Christmas presents
last
year, But because I wanted them to have some sort of Christmas, I
bought
each of them several Christmas presents. They told me that last
Christmas
(2002) was the best Christmas they had ever had, because they didn't
have to
spend another Christmas where there were no presents to open. It
truly
made me feel good.
It would make my Christmas to know that Valerie received her own means
of
transportation to get her children back and forth to the Doctor.
THANK YOU FOR CONTACTING ME WITH THIS INFORMATION AND GIVING ME THE
OPPORTUNITY TO TELL VALERIE'S STORY.

Dear Terry:
I came across your web site about 1 week ago. I was about to proceed today to tell my story
when I noticed it is not in my area. Our van just broke down a few days ago. We currently don't
have the funds for Christmas let alone to fix the fuel rail. That's the part that has
malfunctioned in the van. And my boyfriend is the only one working and supporting myself and
our 4 children. Now he doesn't have a problem taking the bus. But I do. You see he has a
disease called peripheral neuropathy. When he stands on his legs to long he gets stabbing pains
in his lower legs. And in cold weather it gets worse. We face many problems as far as Christmas
goes for our children but right now its more important for him to get back and forth limiting
the pain as much as possible. I live in California. In the highland area near San Bernardino.
Please if you could tell me of any one who could possibly help us in this area it would be
greatly appreciated.
a million thanks,
Lorraine Sealock
Can Anyone help in that area? email us info@cars4christmas.org

I am a mother of two beautiful kids. They are 4 months and 2 years old. We recently
had to move two hours away from my family Because my husband had no job and I was pregnant with
the second child and could no longer work at my job because it is so physically taxing.
When we moved I wrecked my car and it is no longer drivable. The bank cancelled the
insurance policy because my husband and I were declaring Bankruptcy and so now there is no
money to get the car fixed. Now in order for my family to get to see my kids They have to
drive down and get my kids and I and take us back home. My husband is unable to have his
visitations with my stepdaughter because we do not have a reliable car to go and pick her up.
The car that we have we paid Five hundred dollars for but the car doesn't run really well.
I would really like you to consider me so that I can get to take my kids to the doctor without
worrying how I'm going to get there. Linda
