Hello My name is Lisa *****. My caseworker, Jennifer ****, gave me this website, in hopes that you will be able to help me. I am a twenty-six year old single mother. I am trying to get back on my feet and provide for my one year old daughter. We are survivors of domestic violence. I am taking job search classes and have just put my daughter in daycare, unfortunately my car will no longer work and I am unable to buy a new one. I am not sure how much longer I can rely on other supportive family members to help me. Without a car I will not be able to get or keep a job. I have worked hard to become a good mother, but I am afraid this Christmas will be a small Christmas for us. If you are able to help us in any way we would be very thankful. Lisa & Juliana****

I am 14 years old.  My aunt needs a car really bad!  She lives with my aunt, uncle, and 2 cousins. She goes to college on week nights, except Friday because they're closed.  She also has a job at Dollar General from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 or 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. She drives my uncles truck.  She doesn't have a job during the week because my uncle works until 6:00 p.m. sometimes and right when he gets home she goes to school.  She also babysits my cousin that is 14 months on weekdays.  She does that so she can live there.  She has a daughter that is 5 years old. She just started kindergarten this year.  If she misses the bus she just has to stay home because there is no one to take her to school.

I'm a 13 year old girl who is in a weird situation with my family right now..... My parents are separated right now...but they are going to get back together... My mom has breast cancer....and my big sister is at college....my birthday was in October ( the 22) i didn't get to have a birthday party or anything....i couldn't even talk to my sister...Nobody even remembered my Birthday...except for my mom who was at the hospital and my sister...who i finally got to talk to a week later....anyways....after a while my sister was finally able to come see my family and I! ......but it didn't end so happy.....the night she cam down a drunk driver hit her car and totalled it.  He also left the scene so the money she should have gotten was used for her deductible, so basically, she cannot get another car....thank god i wasn't online because if I was she couldn't have called us. After she called us you would think my mom could go get her because she was feelin welll that night... .but we only have one car that we can use right now....so we had to call my dad who was at work....he went and got them ( i think i forgot to say that her boyfriend came with her ). But, if my sister had been there  a second before she was she probably could have gotten hurt REALLY bad...After the weekend was over we had to get her back to Colorado....so we had to order a train ticket. She is lucky she has such good friends , because they drive her to work, college and anywhere else she needs to be...but she wants her own car....but she doesn't have enough money to get one and neither do we....so please....if you can...and only if there is not someone else who REALLY needs one more than my sister...please give her a car so she can get back to Colorado....when she comes back down here on her train.... thanks I think that is all I have to say .....

                                                             Signed with much love,

I am writing for my dear friend Otis j ******** .

PLEASE give him a car for Christmas! He is a diabetic single parent. He has to ride the bus to work and he misses alot of appointments for his son because he has to go by the bus schedule.
It takes him 2 hours by bus to get to work and back.
Otis works alot to pay the household bills, but never enough left over to afford a car. He tries to get his medication by bus. By giving him a car, it would change his life so much. I pray that you sincerely consider him. Thank you.
Sincerely,
