LETTERS TO :
Randy Reed Pontiac and Quikfinder

I realize that I have a long shot on asking for a free used car. as I don't look like the
helpless type. I am not homeless nor do I have six starving children. Matter in fact I am not
even married. I live in a nice apartment that I pay with the help of housing andd make $8.00 an
hour at my job. or $15,000.00 a year gross. which used to be alot of money it in now considered
$12,000 under the poverty level. I pay all my own bills on that little amount I make. Since I
am a former foster child I have no family helping me out. The thing of it is I have never owned
a car not once and finally after over 22 years when I should have gotten my drivers licenses
(see I grew up in foster homes and was denied that. and up tell recently to take private
driving lessons was for the wealthy. But now that it is affordable, I am finally going to go
out and get my drivers licenses. If you are wondering I am over 40 years old. But If you
ever saw me on the streets you would never know it as I look
like a kid. I am either walking, riding my bike (yes the kind you pedal) taking a bus,
which the closest bus stop to my apartment is two miles away. In which we were told that after
2003 the bus service well stop all together. So my choices were to quit my job I have had for
the last 10 years, move or get my licenses. I have decided to get my permanent and have someone
teach me to drive. Besides I am to the point of getting tried of my friends, who are a few
years older than me. Yet they talk to me like I was a five year old. And that is if they are
willing to take me somewhere i need to go. 9 out of 10 times they don't. Yet they are the
one that seem to think it is not important for me to have my own transportation, yet I am
isolated from everyone else, cause I don't have my own transportation. and I am either stranded
or have get around on my bike which is fine if it is close enough for me to ride to. I have
been known to ride the bike 30 miles a day or more. which is good
exercise.

I'd like to submit this young lady as a candidate. She was our foster daughter and has had a
hard road to pave but has always shown a desire to survive. Jackie is 28 years old. She is a
working mom who is stuggling to get by, but has determination enough to try to succeed. She has
2 young boys, Alex 5 and Chris 6. They live in a small house and used to drive what she called
a hoopty. As best I could tell it was an old, red, beat up chevy pick up that was running on
chewing gum and a prayer. She used to get up every school day to take her six year old to
school because his bus stop was eight blocks away. She would not let her little man walk that
far in the dark. Finally the chewing gum gave out and the little hoopty quit running. To
maintain her house and her job she is splitting her time between her kids two sets of
grandparents. Alex is staying with one set of grandparents 31/2 days and with mom at home about
31/2 days. Chris is staying with the other set of grandparents to
go to school and Jackie stays with them for 31/2 days to be able to work and spend time with
Chris. She would really be blessed to recieve a vehicle she could trust and would appreciate
your consideration. Thank You.

her a long with alot of other things. she has a lot of doctor bills due to a disease she has so
she can't afford to get this one fixed or to by another one. she has to drive about 40 miles
one way to work to a job that does not pay alot. she does this to support me and my brother. i
would like for her to have a car that will get her back and forth to work and not break down on
her on the way. she has done so much for me and my brother that i would like to do something
for her. i had better go now since i am not supposed to be on the internet during school. this
was the only way i can submit this story.

Your site that I just found is like an answer from God. I was searching for car
donators on the internet and just happened to fall upon your website. The whole reason
I'm writing this letter is because our family really needs a car. Our story goes like
this. My mom lost her car to the Police Impound Lot. She has no job. She has
no way to get me to school and I'm quickly failing. My brother doesn't have a job now and
can't get one because we live to far out into the country. My brother and I don't live
with our mom but we still communicate everyday. Our mom doesn't have enough money to even
buy a bicycle. She can't even go to the Nursing homes and play the piano for the old
people or go on her bread runs for the Salvation Army. Recently she went on a trip to
California with her lady friend to go get her friends car so she could have her old one.
They just got back and the lady won't give her the car unless my mom has insurance money.
The car wasn't even worth it
anyway. So I'm not sure if I will graduate from High School this year or if my
brother will get a job to support us or if my mom will ever be able to help the poor again.
So like I said, your website was an answer to my prayer and I know all the other letters are
worth giving cars to too. Please accept this if you would. Thank you and look
forward to hearing from you.
Every donation helps from $1.00 to $100.00 help us help someone
