In the past 8 to 9 monthes or so My husband and I
serparted and I
graduated school and now I am having a hard time trying to find a job after
my car broke down on my 4 year old daughter and I. I cant afford a new
or even a used car at this point and I just want to get my life back
into order and get a job and without a car it seems impossible.
Mayville
My name is Tracy. I am a 43 yr old divorced mother of 2
sons from
Mayville WI.
At the Age of 6 I was diagnosed with hip dysphasia which required
several reconstructive surgeries. I now suffer from severe arthritis of
the hip and require a total hip replacement. This condition also requires
regular doctor visits at a facility which is located in
Milwaukee.
I
live in rural
Wisconsin
and the commute to the doctor is roughly 120
miles round trip.
In October of 2003 I became unemployed due to corporate downsizing. I
suffered the loss of income as well as health benefits. I was unable to
find employment for nearly 2 years. By the time I acquired full time
employment my finances were in tremendous trouble. Bills went unpaid and
my house went into foreclosure. In an effort to recover from the job
loss and the ramifications, I was left with no choice but to file chapter
13 to save my home from Sheriffs sale.
I have been employed at my current company nearly 2 years but the
financial recovery process has been slow. With raising 2 sons and the
Chapter 13 plan payments, I am barely covering our cost of living expenses
and gas expenses to go to work. I travel 70 miles per day, round trip,
from Mayville to Oconomowoc, for work. I have owned my current vehicle
for over 10 years. It’s a 1996 Chevy full size truck with over
225,000 miles on it. I recently experienced an electrical fire in the
steering column on my way home from work which has caused the truck lights and
wipers not to function, a few days after that the transmission started
slipping. I do not have the resources to repair this vehicle and in the
end the repairs would probably cost more than it’s worth.
I desperately need a vehicle so that I can support my family, so that
I don’t lose my job and so that I may continue my doctor visits and
ultimately have my hip replacement.

My daughter needs a car because she work late hours and
she
will be 18yrs. old on Dec.15th.her job lets her off work sometime at
11:30pm and that's not good for a teenage girl to be outside that
late. she
has her drivers license and she really wanted a car but i am unable to
afford a car for her. some of her friends have cars and she feels left
out.I really wish you can help her out, and put that beautiful smile on
her that deserves to be there. i really hope u can help her out because
i
don't wanna make her quit her job because she's on the bus stop late at
night, and to top it off, after she gets off the bus, she walks 11 blocks
because the other bus is never there. As you can tell from this, this is
very dangerous for my child to be out there, but she is motivated to
work, which is a good thing. So please help her out and please make me
feel
much better about her safety

Hello!! My great-uncle, is 60 years old and has a 14 year old daughter and a 8 year old son. Last Christmas (2005), my mother/his niece had a sever asthma attack and died on Christmas morning. He packed up his kids and moved from California to stay with my step-father and 14 year old sister. He gave away all his furniture, car, etc. to help my step-father and sister as he was the only one without a job/school who could make such a move. Long story-short, my step-father, through malicious reasons of his own (re-marrying after nine months!!) has tossed my uncle and his kids out on the street after only 8 months of living together. Now my uncle must build his, and his kids, all over again from scratch. They are extremely poor and have had to move into a 2 bedroom apt. and are receiving welfare/food stamps. Also, his son has a learning disability and attends a special school. Given his son's disability, my uncles age, and his overwhelming generosity, he desperately deserves and needs, a car. Wisconsin is a cold month with lots of snow storms and I would like to see him receive any type of car that would assist him in getting around town to the grocery store, school, laundry, etc. All details are factual and can be confirmed, please consider him seriously. Thank you!!!

Tanya and her husband are homeless. They are currently staying with us but it is very crowded and I don's know how much longer it will work. They have 5 kids (ages 7, 8, 10, 12, 13) and another on the way. They have one car that barely runs and they squish all of them into it. They cannot afford to fix up the current car or get another one. If not not for foodstamps they wouldn't have much to eat either. Her husband is supposed to start back to work this month but that means he will need the car. She tries real hard to keep the kids in school and extra activites (in spite of moving so much because of lost jobs and apartments). A vehicle that will fit everyone so they are driving legally, and that will allow her to continue to get her kids to where they need to be will, in my opinion, be a tremendous help in trying to keep those kids going on with a normal life in spite of the upsets and uncertanties of having a roof over their heads. We are helping out the best we can but it is hard and they need so much help and I dont know where to look to get it. I know a car doesn't seem like much but it could mean a great deal to them.

####### Is a young, expecting, single mother that will need warm transportation when her new born baby arrives in March. She has been unable to work due to being disabled. She has not been able to save for a car because she is on a fixed income. She currently has to take a taxi to and fro which is becoming quit costly due to the fact that her housing voucher has not come through and she is left paying the full amount of rent which is $540.00. This amount is hard to maintain when you are only making about $700.00 a month. This leaves only an $160.00 left over to pay electricity and buy food. It has been supper tough to take form that money to take a taxi. It would change her life in such a positive way helping to save money and providing this single mother to be with a chance to become more independent. It would give her a chance to be more thank-ful this year and less worried about the future.

i am a young mother of 4, recently i lost my four young children and am in the process of regaining custody i need a vehicle so that it will be easier to find work that pay better for me, getting to my visits as well as court dates with out having to rely on public transportation, sometimes the buses that i use stop running at a certain time or they don't go that far out, which makes employment harder to get to.

Hello my name is Kamille . I am writing to you
for myself and
my family. My husband and i are both disabled. My husband Ed is a
double amputee. I have severe back, nerve, and neurological problems.
We
are both on ssi disability. We get 542.00 each a month. It doesn't
leave much for car repairs or anything else for that matter. Our truck is
in need of to many repairs, transmission 1200.00 we can not afford this.
We were guided to an organization in Wi. where we are
close to. We did in fact receive a jeep 1993. We were so GREATFULL.
We thought all are problems were solved. Well much to our dismay we had
the jeep for two weeks it stopped running. This was after we had to
spend 200.00 on a water pump for it. It just stopped working. We
were
told it was the engine which no longer had compression in it. So now i
have two none working vehicles that need thousands in repair costs
which we can not afford. I do not want to seem ungrateful but we
need a good running car with low mileage that will last us a while.
The jeep that was given to us hd over 190 thousand miles on it. My
husband and i go to the doctors quit often. they are not close to us.
We
also have a 13 year old daughter at home. If you could please help us
we would be forever greatful. We could make a small payment monthly
like 40 or 50 dollars. Please help. thankyou, Kamille

Green Bay,
I am a new mother, my son is 12 months old. His father and I are both
employeed trying to support our small family. We live in an apartment
together thanks to the help of Housing. Jerry (my boyfriend and our
baby's father) works full time at a check advance store. He has to use
the one vehical we have for his job. He has to have the car with thim
for the 10 hour shift he works. Which leaves me and our son without a
vehical. We rely on family and friends to get me to work and our son to
the sitters. Our family and friends are getting tired of running us
around because of gas prices. We live paycheck to paycheck as it is and
cannot afford to give anyone gas money. The bus lines do not run close
enough to where I work and the babysitters for me to catch the bus. It
is frusterating and heartbreaking not to be able to take myself to
work.
We have tried many times to get another car. We have applied for many
loans and have had no sucess. Unfortunlly when I turned 18 i ruined my
credit and it is very very bad. It is beyond repariable. And Jerrys
has no credit, well he has one bad thing on his credit and thats the
only thing on there. He has never used his credit so he needs a
co-signer. Jerry is from California and none of his family members can
come
here to co-sign. I ruined my families trust when I was 18 so they will
not do it either. We are stuck between a rock and a hard place with no
space to move. Its so hard to provide the best life for our son. I
am
afraid I will have to quit my job if we cannot get him to the sitters
and me to work.
Please help us. I know we have the potental to be a great loving
successful family if we had help from someone. It would change our lives
to
be able to have another car and keep my job.
Thank you,
Michelle
Plover,
I am not sure whether this is something available in my area...But this
may be my last hope. I am a divorced mother of two boys, almost 8 and
3 yrs old.
I have had Multiple Sclerosis for the past 7 years, just in August of
this year I was told that I have Rheumatism, and last month in October I
was also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I am unable to work and have
been unemployed for the past 6 months due to my poor health. My 1995
Mercury Mystique has almost 160,000 miles on it and is falling
apart..literally, and I obviously have no more money to put into it. It is
a
matter of weeks before I fear that it will be broken down for good! I am
in
need of a car/van to get me and my boys to and from in town doctors and
specialists for myself and hour away...It is extremely hard for me to
ask anyone for help....but it is time to swallow my pride! If anyone
can help me out....I'd be internally grateful!

Hi,
My name is Mick and I meet a wonderful person that is down on her luck.
She has four children and she is in desperate need of a automobile. She
is a very hard worker and a full time student. She is trying very hard
to get her a different car because she has been looking for a job in
her town but most of the jobs are far out and not on a bus route. She is
not able to make it to all of her classes because of her transportation
needs. I would be very happy if someone can reach into their hearts and
help this young lady out.
Thank you very much,
Pepin, Wi
