Cassey needs a vehicle so she can start a career, she wants to be a
model, But she has no way to go, She will be 19 in December 19, 2006, This
would be the perfect time for her to start her career, But with my
income ,I cannot afford to even make payments on an automobile for her and
I am working a full time job, I just have too many bills to pay, Cassey
needs an income, so she can move on with her life and she has no help.
She is going through depression, because there is nothing she can do
about this, and I don't have any idea what to do. Please help her to get
a vehicle. This could be her answer to everything in life , Because we
live in the country it's too far away to walk. This could change
Cassey's life dramatically.

Parkersburg

She has a 19 month old son whom i love like my own. She works hard but
she just doenst have the credit and doesnt make enough to make a car
payment. She wants to not have to wait on others she hates asking people
for help she doesnt want to be irritating she just would love to be
able to take her child to the doctor by her self in her own vehicle. She
was pregnant and the had a miscarriage so she was working on getting
something that had 4 doors for easy access for her kids, but when that
happened she thought it was all her fault and now is so very depressed and
i think that her getting her own car would really change her life right
now.

Why> To help take care of me her Mother as in being able to get me to
Doctor Appointments, to the grocery store so she wouldn't have to depend
on others that never seem to be available to help us when we are in
need...
Most of all it would benefit my daughter in getting to and from work
especially in bad weather.
How> It would help so much to take the pressure off of her of having
to depend on other people to get us back and forth from these places.
My daughter is a very good person and she deserves a chance at having a
car and it would be cherished by her for a long time.
                    Sincerely,
                Mabel

Ok, this is kind of a long story but I will do my best to keep it short
and sweet.  I love my sister very much but she has not always made the
best choices.  She recently made the best one of her life.  She has
decided to finally end a very stressful and abusive relationship with a
man that she has two children with.  She is doing her very best to make
it on her own she has been trying to make it but it is hard on her.  In
the area that she lives she is not very close to any employment and the
car that she has is broken down and cannot be fixed without replacing
the motor which she does not have the money to do.  Without a car in
this area you cannot get a job it is all but impossible.  I have tried to
help her out the best that I can but I also have a family and cannot
afford to get her a car.  If she had a car she would finally be able to
obtain gainful employment and she would be able to realize that she can
make it... Please help me to help her realize that she does not h
ave to be emotionally and physically abused in order to keep a roof
over her childrens head.  She wants so much to make it on her own and has
practically hit a wall in that attempt.  Please help her if you can.
Thank you.

Wheeling

Hello, does anyone actually read these letters?? Well my name isn't
important, but my story is. I arrived in 2000 in the state of West
Virginia with only the clothes on my back, and a car.   I had to leave my home
state of New Jersey in order to save my life.  It was abuse, and if I'd
stayed I'd be dead, probably  from a suicide.  When I came to this
state, WV, I'd never really thought about staying here, but I soon realized
I had little choice, because not only did my car break down on the way,
soon after it was towed away, because there was no place for residents
of the domestic violence shelter to park...only metered parking.   I
have come a long way, but need to go more, and a car would make so much
of a difference in my life.  Nobody who has a car really realizes the
impact of not having a car.  I have a respectable  job at the newpaper,
(I was in printing in New Jersey, too), but I make so little money
compared to what I used to, I barely broke 10 grand last year, I use
d to make 38 grand, and could again, I know I could, if I could only
move away, or drive to work,  because West Virginia is almost like a
third world country, economically, as compared to New Jersey,  plus I
really am all alone here, except for a few friends, who... don't have cars
either.  That's why  I am still, STILL living in the shelter after all
this time.  My dream is to get a better job, and so actually move to
the kind of place that would have a little more normal of an environment,
but in 5 years I have discovered no good printing job that is  within
the route afforded by public transportation, and not within cab distance
either. They are either in Pittsburgh, Pennsyvania,  or in Ohio, like
30 miles away.  My other, more secret dream, is to become a paralegal,
and become an advocate for victims of domestic violence.  Here goes: I
am a courageous, kind, law-abiding, church-going, decent, hard-working
woman who is struggling with the approach of middle age, and the
well-founded fears that accompany being a middle-aged woman living

My best friend and I have not been anywhere exept for her doctor's
appointments in nearly 3 long, long, years.   You know, you tend to take
things like going to the mall, or to a Wendy's, or even to the park, for
granted when you  have a car, but it is simply hellish to get anywhere
without one, esp. if where you live is impoverished as West Virginia
is.  I was not even able to see my twin brother on our 40th birthday.  My
relationship with him, and the rest of my siblings is strained, not
because I have done anything actually wrong, but because I am poor, and
poverty in my family is not acceptable.  Well let me tell you something,
being without a car is a poverty trap, and it gets  scarier every year.
It's like, how does anyone actually "bounce back" without outside
help???  You hear about people "bouncing back"  on shows like Oprah, but
frankly I have never MET  anyone who ever "bounced back" from a position
such as mine, without family or some kind of outside help...  I'd
be lying if I said I didn't go to bed scared every night! Technically
speaking, I'm homeless...I SHOULD be scared!!!  That said  I don't have
any real health problems, thank God,  I am in reasonable shape and try
to eat well,  but I am getting really bad arthritis in my back, hips
and feet and the doctor says it's from too much walking, in too bad of
shoes.  I walk about 3 miles to  and from work, and the sneaks I have on
are only 3 weeks old and already are worn down.  When I wake the pain
in my hips is so bad, I feel like I'm 80 years old, and I walk like I am
80,  too. It takes me forever just to move so I can get into the
shower.   It sure would be nice to get ready for work without feeling tired
before I even get out the door.  Well, that's my story and I'm stickin'
to it!!  Thank you so much for listening.  Have a wonderful day and eat
a big bowl of Wendy chili for me!!!
