My daughter, Brittany, is a 25 year-old with a 17 month
old son and is
due to deliver a baby girl in 4 days. She received a phone call two
nights ago that her husband, the father of her children, had been
arrested. The charge was drugs, which she was unaware of, and the car (an
older model car, with no heat or air-conditioning) was impounded. With the
news, she has discovered he will most likely go to prison. It is her
desire to get a divorce. She had some problems with this pregnancy and
with the 17 month old, she was not working. His actions have left her
pennyless, without a car, behind on utility bills, with termination
notices everywhere. She is devastated and needs help so badly. Her
heart
is so sweet and she is trying so hard to be strong. She would like to
get a job as soon as the baby is born, but has no transportation for
her or the babies. Please help change their lives and allow her to move
forward alone. Thank you.
Tulsa,
My family, which includes me, husband and four children.
Move here a
year ago after Katrina so we drove our car here on prayers. Now we both
have jobs and now our car is broke we can not afford to fix it and
there are major things wrong with it. If we do not get a good running car
we may not be able to get around and go to work. If you could help us
that would be a blessing. Thank you.

My name is Adam and my wife Andrea and I need a vehicle.
It
all started back in February. I was layed off from my job of 3 years.
Just the year before we had financed our first house and not long after
that our first new car. Life was actually starting to look up.
Before
this job, I had been layed off by two other employers within a year, so
after 2 years of work at the same employer, we were feeling secure
enough to purchase a home and a reliable vehicle. When I was layed off, it
was heart-breaking to say the least. Our house has been foreclosed on
and our only vehicle was just repossessed yesterday. After four years of
continuously being layed off, I've decided to make a career change.
I've enrolled in the local community college and my wife, formerly a
home-maker, has taken a job to support me and our two children while I'm in
school. Recently, I also took on a part-time job to supplement my
wife's income. Having a vehicle could dramatically change our l
ives at this point. As of right now, neither of us have a way to get
to work or school or anywhere for that matter. We also have two small
children. If anything were to happen to them right now, heaven forbid,
we would have no way to get them to a doctor or hospital. I suppose we
could call an ambulance, but I hate for the EMT's to miss a serious,
life or death call, just because my son sprained an ankle. I hope this
letter has helped the caring person reading it understand why my family
needs a vehicle and how much it could change our lives. Thank you very
much for your generosity and consideration.
Sincerely,
Tulsa
The reason I’m applying for CARS4CHRISTMAS is because my family which include, my grandma, my mom, me and my daughter all have a small two bedroom apartment together and me and my daughter sleep in the living room, I lost my car and job about 3 months ago my car was the only one in the family and everyone looked on me to take them places but now that I don’t have a car there’s no way for my family to get around town, even making grocery is very hard thing to do, there’s no way of getting to a doctor, my mothers as to pay someone from her job to pick her up and bring her home, and if there’s no one to do that she has to walk. And if I receive a car it would change all our in the way of my mom not paying someone to take her to work and putting that money on bills, my grandma will be able to get back and forth to the doctor, and I will be able to find and job so I can get an apartment of my own, and me and my child wont have to sleep in the living room any more. And I know in my heart that if I received a car it could change my life 100%. thank you lucretia
Oklahoma City,
this person is trying to rebuild her life she has lost her son to a suicide and a daughter to death by severe malnutrition and dehydration . She is a careing and loving individual Her husband has copd and she is hard of hearing and is in need of her own transportation to transport her grandson whom she has custody of around and for her to try and become as self sufficient as possible . also would like to see her get a home of her own she has been through so much and deserves nothing but the best and if it was not for her i would not have anyone she is the best grammy in the world. Please help her in anyway that you can.
Beggs,
My sister is in dire need of a car. She has two children ages 6, 4. She
left her husband and is going through a much needed divorce. She got
nothing but a few clothing for her kids he got everything else.
She was a stay at home mother so she had no money other than the few
dollars($81) a month she gets for the kids off their daddies disability
check. SHe isgoing to college to try to get a life for her and her kids.
She is living with our parents whom are both disabiled and make very
little a month. They did have two cars but recently were down to one and
it is only a little truck so there is only room for two maybe three
people. So that means her and the kids and our parents are not able to go
anywere at the same time. THey are taking her to school daily but live
thirty min south of the school so it takes a lot of money driving back
and forth so they can also be home for the kids after school.
Due to shortage on car and money she can't even get a job as she would
not have a way all the way back into town to even work so she is in a
really bad spot and with her ex being on disability she will never get
help from him. He got allthe electronics, car, furniture etc she got
pretty much nothing but hers and her childrens freedom and safety.
PLEASE I ASK IN JESUS NAME TO HELP.
Norman,
The reason i am writing is because my husband and i have 3 kids ages 6,
4 1/2 and 3.. We are carless at
the moment.. My husband had a older work car, but it just pooped
out..We don't have the money to even
fix a $300.00 repair, and then the next day my car had a transmission
failure, when let me mention that backin Feb of this year we paid $2000
for a transmission with all of our tax money.. and now we
can not fix it again..We can't get a loan because
we have bad credit..And we can't afford $1500 down for a deposit...so i
have been so stressed without this happening i am supposed to be going
to a Doctor to get 2 lumps on my breast checked, and i can't even get
to the Doctor..i just hope someone out there can help us.. i hate
feeling hopeless because of a materialistic item, but a car is nessacary in
world...Even if there is something i can do to help pay back by local
work or anything i am just desperate..please help!!
Edmund,
To Whom it May Concern:
Dustin is a good person that has fallen into a lot of unfortunate
situations because he has no car. He has been unable to get and/or keep a
job because he has no way to get to work in order to keep a job. But it
is a vicious cycle because every time he looses a job he doesn't have
enough money to buy food or pay for rent, so in turn he ends up on the
street. So now he just got a good job at Wal-Mart but is afraid that he
will not be able to make it there unless he walks about 5 miles to work.
He is also sleeping on a friend's loveseat right now but will be kicked
out if he cannot help out with the bills. I feel really bad for him
because I know he is really trying. I would help him out if I could but I
am a single mom and living paycheck to paycheck. Hopefully someone can
help. Has has bad credit and cannot come up with the money for a down
payment so he is really stuck. I wish his family was there for him more
but some of them are worse off than he is. Thank you for your time
Achille,Ok
My
brother is living with a terminal illness and since my mother has
moved to CA he has been unable to make his last 7 Dr. appts. He
currently lives on Soc Sec Disability and cannot afford to make a car payment.
He stays in his house most all of the time because he doesn't really
know anyone in the small very rural town that he now lives in. While
this is an inconvenience, it is even more, you see my brother has a
terminal illness and MUST find a means of transportation to and from his
Dr.
appts as well as just general life things like being able to get to the
grocery store. I feel really bad for him and would help him buy a car
if only i could afford to do so...but i am a single mother of two
teenaged daughters and just have no extra money to spare. Please help him
if you can ...I can think of noone more deserving and needing of such a
gift.
Thank you for your consideration and for helping him. He really is a
great guy and REALLY REALLY does need a dependable vehicle.
Thanks again,
