To Whom It May Concern: I am a domestic violence advocate at the YWCA Women’s Crisis Center and have come into contact with a woman who I believe would be a great person to receive the car that is being donated this holiday season. Her name is Tammy and she has three children. In October, she was a victim of domestic violence by her ex-husband. Her ex-husband rammed his vehicle with her vehicle and ended up totaling her car. He was not even supposed to be around Tammy, due to an active protection order, but that didn’t stop him from continually harassing her and putting her in fear of her life. He was arrested for numerous charges, and is thankfully still in jail. However, now Tammy’s vehicle is totaled and she had only liability insurance. Her insurance company told her that since this was an intentional act and she only had liability insurance, she would not be eligible for any compensation. She was depending on that insurance money to assist her in getting a car. Now she is left without a car, but is still holding down a full time job. She is a single mother to these three children, ages 11, 5, and 2. She is barely able to make ends meet for Christmas and on top of that has to worry about finding a car. She is a woman who is in great need and would benefit so much from receiving a reliable car that her family could all be safe in. I hope you will take into consideration how much her family would benefit and appreciate receiving help this Christmas time. This would change her and her children's lives in so many ways and allow her to continue providing for them. Thank-you for your time, and Merry Christmas
