Robert had move from Indiana to Michigan, in the process had to sell off his truck in order to have enough money to put down a security deposit on this apartment.he has tried and save his money for over 13 months but all his bills keep draining his bank account to negative,he has to take out 2 cash advances at a time, on is to pay for the other one,i have to take him every day to work, pick him up, take him every where he needs to go for the past year and a half. we go through so much gas, we have to fill up 2-3 times a week and Robert pays for most of it cause he feels so bad he has to rely on me to take him every where, i think he thinks he is a nobdy, cause he cant get out of dept and save up for a truck or suv. well that's a little bit about the situation their is a ton more reasons i can put down here but that would take a week to fill out.....thanx alot

My name is Erica, I have four very small children there ages are 5, 4,2,1. My husband and i were having problems so i took the children and left right know we are just temporary staying with someone all in one room. i have no vehicle to take my children anywhere, nor do i have one to get a job. to take care of my children and get us a place to live. Having a vehicle would change our lives it would get us back on track so i can get a job and get my children back and forth to a daycare and school. I have no one else to turn to for help i don't know what else to do. I am 25 years old trying to raise four children. I am just asking for help so i can get back on track and take care of my children. I know that it's not your problem and that it is my responsibility, but i don't ever ask for this kind of thing. I am a single mother with limited income and I recently lost my car. I 
need a car in order for me to keep my job. I need a car take my 
children to school and to the doctors. My 6 yr. old daughter has asthma and 
needs to see her doctor alot. My father who is 75yrs old has been taking 
my children to school over 15 miles (one way) every day because they 
attend a school of choice to get a better education. He tells me that he 
is old but he doing for his grandchildren. I also have a daughter 
attending her first year in college about 200 miles away that I cannot go 
"check on" to make sure if shes safe. My co-worker have been taking me to 
work but it causes alot of stress on her and her two children  because 
I live in the country and she lives near our job and she leaves her 
kids at home alone before the bus come, because she have to leave earlier 
so that we can make to work on time. They  have been providing me 
transportation at low cost or no cost during the month because I am pai
 d monthly. Recently I have been in serious debt and getting back on my 
feet is really hard because I owe many creditors now that I am a one 
income family. I need a car because my job requires that we travel 
thoughout our county servicing other low income families, Luckily, I have not 
had many clients and my boss doesn't know that I am without 
transportation now for two months. I would really appreciate the help in obtaining 
a car for my family. and I would also use it to help others, and I 
could attend church on a regular basis. It's hard for me to ask others to 
pick me up because I am the only member that live the farthest from the 
church.   I really really appreciate my father and my  friend for 
providing me transportation but I know its putting a strain on them and I 
hurts me to see them changing their lives for me. Thank you for reading

He has a reading disability so finding a job has been tough for him. he is on disability. he has to pay child support from his ssi for his oldest daughter. then he is married and has 2 more daughters and cannot afford to buy a vehicle so he has been using mine and was going to buy it from me but that hasnt worked out. i have a hard time getting around without my car and they really need a bigger vehicle as they have to use 2 car seats. it is tough for them to make ends meet and a larger more dependable vehicle for them would sure help alot. thanks sandra

Paul was discharged from the Army in July 2005, with a honorable 
medical discharge. He has two young sons. Paul has been unable to find 
employment, Michigan has one of the lowest employment rates in the country. 
the few job offers he has had, are to far of a distance to walk, and 
this would really make his life better, allowing him to get a job...and 
it will help him to support his family.

Christina is a single mother of a 8 month old daughter. Christina is 
only 18 years old and she is still in school. I am a good friend of hers. 
Christina is having trouble with gull stones and also transportation to 
get herself and her daughter to appointments and school. She cant 
really get a job because she doesnt really have any babysitters. i would 
love to see her  get a vehicle so she can get to places she needs to get 
to. Christina's father died when she was an infant. the father of her 
child she dont know wehre he is or anything about him really. i am her 
babys godfather and i have also taken the fathers responibilites. but 
there are alot of times i cant help her because i am employed. so please i 
ask of you to bless christina and help her to start to get on her feet

I am writing this letter for my mom we are in bad need for a car my dad left us 6 years ago due to all my moms health problems and he never looked backed (or helped) we do not have a car that runs and she is very sick with crohns disease she needs a car to get back and forth to doctors and maybe I could join a sport and she could take me to practice. This would change our life in so many ways if we could get a car. maybe we could do more things as a family

I need a vehicle because I do not have one. I am a 27 year old single mother of two young children. I am going through a nasty divorce. My spouse took our only vehicle when he left us. My spouse is currently on probation for domestic violence on me which occurred in front of my seven year old. He is a drug addict. That is why I am seeking divorce. After almost eight years of living in a very controlling and abusive relationship I am trying to make a better life for me and my kids. I am left with bad credit and am currently living with my parents. I am working a minimum wage job only about 20 hours a week and am unable to find a better job due to no vehicle. I am receiving no cash assistance from my spouse or social services. I really need a vehicle in order to improve my life and the lives of my beautiful children.

My sister Ch'Loris is in need of a vehicle. She has never owned a vehicle nor had the finances to obtain a vehicle. During her college years she always used public transportation. She has never complained about public transportation and has always been grateful that it has been available for her and others who need to get places. Right now, I feel that she needs a car. She just got a new job but it is hard for her to get there by bus because it is in a downtown district of our city and I feel that catching the bus around 5 and 6 in the morning or after dark at night is not safe for her. My sister is in the process of applying for her Masters, so it would be even harder to get to work and school at all ours of the day. I want my sister to be able to get around to work and school and not have anymore problems and not worry about whether she will make it to work in the morning or home at night because she has to wait at bus stops in uncertain or possible danger areas. She is also dedicating herself to helping my mom by keeping an eye the younger children in the house, preparing dinner and cleaning the house. She tutors our younger siblings and has helped them to improve their grades in school. She is also trying to plan a wedding and get her life where she wants it, but it requires safe and reliable transportation. If you or anyone could help her by giving her a dependable vehicle, I know she will be grateful and I, myself, would appreciate all that you are able to do. Thank you.

I am in need of a dependable vehicle..I am a breast cancer patient..I have a car but it is dangerous...I drive myself to chemotherapy, and radiation..Not to mention I drive my little one to school everyday...I'm very scared every time i drive my current car...I'ts very old and in need of alot of repairs... Spring 2005 I lost my job because of medical and mental health issues. After two accidents with my left arm I am left with little use due to colle's fracture complications and severe osteoarthritis. My initial application for T.A.N.F was denied because of child support that I was supposed to receive but was not being paid. I lost my home and my car and since i live on a farm in Sanilac county {farm country.} I have no way to seek employment, attend medical appointments or comply with court ordered parenting time. My ex-husband is trying to have them put me in jail. I have four sons. My youngest is Courtney, 12 years old. Two months ago he was diagnosed with major depression because of incidences occurring while visiting his father. The doctor and his counselor made reports to Child protective services whom are investigating child abuse and neglect. I need transportation for Courtney's medical and mental health appointments and to resolve legal issues. The case is held in Macom b County. 65 miles from our home. I have no family here and my friends left this state for employment in other states. I pray that you will consider helping us out of this current rut. Thank you for your time and God Bless you. 32, working full time and attending college full time to better the 
lives of her children.  She lost her only transportation when her husband 
of ten years left her and her children with no vehicle.  
Laura is the President of Phi Theta Kappa International Honors Society, 
and works countless hours for charitable causes.  She carries a 3.871 
GPA, and will be transferring to a college about 350 miles from her 
family to study Biology.
I can not tell you how grateful she would be to have a car so that she 
would be able to continue the charitable works that she so loves to do, 
be able to get her children and herself to work and school, and visit 
her family while away at college.  
I feel that she is so deserving of the opportunity that you offer 
through this program.

I am a kidney dialysis patient who does not have a decent car to take my kid to appointments, myself to appointments or to pick my son up in Muskegon. I have had many problems in my life, including finding out that I have two rare genetic disorders and my two kids' have one of them also. My life has been hard and having never been able to work for long periods of time, I only receive SSI and it is only 600 per month. I live with my mother, and she cant help me out because she has agoraphobia. So, as you can see, since I was 16, I have had what seems like bad luck. I just would like my luck to change and be able to have a nice car to take my kids' on a day or two vacation. Thank you

I am a single mother of four children. My boyfriend and I broke up in the middle of the summer. He insured that everything I had would be gone when he left. In September I lost my home and had to move me and my children in with my dad and his family. All five of us are sharing one room. In the beginning of October, I lost my van. I've been a stay at home mom for the past 10 months and am trying to return to work. In the middle of a recession and having no transportation makes it rough. I need a car so I can get back on my feet and take care of my children on my own and get us back into our own place. I need to be able to take them to the doctors that's now over an hour away. If I had a vehicle, I could care for my own children with our relying on Grandma and Grandpa

My friend christna has 2 children by two different men and they do not help her at all. I see her killing herself trying to support the children. The state helps a little but she is still struggling. I help when I can but I can not be there all the time. She goes from home to home trying to make the best life for the children. Her mother does not care and neither does the rest of her family. If I had the means I would give her a car but I am not that wealthy. I believe a car may help her to make a better life for the kids. Winter is coming, and she will have to walk the children to take her 5 year old to school. And she has to walk more than a mile with a 5 year old and a 17 month old to go to the doctors. She is very strong but even she cannot survive with what she is going through. Well im not trying to beg but im asking if you could help my friend out. I'm going through a divorce and I was expecting to have my car returned 
to me.  My (ex) did return my car but left in unsafe for me and my 
daughter.  He claimed he was going to do an oil change.  Instead he 
returned my car to me with blown heads, bad bearings a broken sway arm and 
several other things I dont understand.  I took my car to the dealership 
and they claimed that my car wouldn't make it much longer and I should 
just purchase another vehicle. But they could repair it for $2,500.00  I 
would but I haven't the finances to do so.  I have also taken my car to 
another shop and they claim that they could fix the problem for 
$1,500.00 I have several medical problems that I need to visit doctors, and 
therapy, and other uses such as getting my daughter from school, grocery 
shopping. you know the usual.  I am unable to ride the public 
transportation that the city provides.  Too many appointments, to take the bus 
usually takes up two or three hours to get from one place to anothe
 r leaving me late for many Dr. appointments.. I am on public 
assistance and I am expecting social security soon.  In the mean time my car I 
believe is getting worse. I am afraid to let anyone ride in the car with 
me as it make die at anytime.  I have almost been in two separate 
accidents due to the cars transmission problem.  something missing I am 
not quite sure. If you have a spare vehicle that you could donate to my 
daughter and myself I couldn't thank you enough.  Think about it, thats all

Cynthia ******* is student in high school who has overcome some obstacles 
in her young life. She dealt with her mother not wanting her, but she 
still keeps on pushing on. She is an all A & B student, she tries her 
best to play sports and go back and forth to work each and every day.

I need a vehicle so that I can get back and forth to work and to be able to take my son to daycare so that I can go to work. I have been through so much this year and I really need some help and a car would be the biggest help. One of the children has severe asthma and she worries all the time that if she has a bad attack she wouldn't be able to get her to the hospital. About 7 months ago she lost her job when her boss sold the restaurant she was working at for 3 years. Three months after she lost her job her car was repossessed because she couldn't afford to pay the car payment anymore. Without a car she has no way to get out and find a job. She has applied for college and was excepted on a full grant, but getting to school has been a struggle for her as well. Right now she is living on 980.00 a month child support after paying the 500.00 rent it doesn't leave much for the rest of the utilities, let alone food to feed the children. Dear Cars 4 Christmas. This is Tenicia #######, I am 19 years old, from Detroit MI. Me and my mom are both struggling to get cars. I work at family of Pets in Livonia Mall and my mom is currently unemployed. she is a single parent and we both need help. I only make 5.50 a hour and we have to pay rent and bills. Me and my mom are taking care of 6 children who are all still in school. We are working on getting them coats for the winter. If they have a doctor's appointment or teachers conference we have to take them on the bus or ask family for rides, and we are tired of doing that. I am struggling trying to help my mom out work, and do things for myself. I need a car desperately for Christmas because the seasons are changing and we are tired of standing at bus stops every time we need to travel. well we had a car and it kept breaking down, so we could not afford to 
drive it!! I am on a disabled, to the point I can not work at a place, 
I can sit and work but no one will give me a job, they dont want to 
take the risk! I have wo kids 11 & 12 , and I had to pay off the friend of 
the court so they were taking 200.00 a month out of my money which was 
750.00 a month so i only got 550.00 a month and next month I will start 
getting the rest of my money!! about 15 years ago I had a acc. a 
trailer came off my pick up and a man lost his life , so i lost everything 
and 6 months later I got two kinds of arthritize. It got to the point 
that they gave me one and one halfe weeks to live but i beat it, still

well a friend of mine, lost his job about 9 months ago and than his car died and his property taxes were do , but now he is back to work but has no transportation, i have been driving him but it's 40 miles away and i don't have the heart to tell him i can't do it anymore, he also is getting custody of his children from their mother and has been having a hard time getting back and forth to court. i wouldn't be doing this but i know he has no money and lots of bills so if you can do anything i'm sure he would be greatful and so would i. if i told him he would feel like it's charity, and would not except it. but if you can't thanks anyway and god bless you . thanks always

My friend sandy had i car butt it does not work no more. sandy haves five disables she on ssi had has lot of bills to pay like for her meds. she don't have money to buy a car she need a car to get back and forth to the doctors. she get sick a lot. her family will not help her out. she now has no way to get to her doctors. I can't help her because iam ssi too and i can't drive.
